Adelaide (Mrs. Bucket/Ms. Teavee)
Adelaide is currently a 3rd grader at Remington Elementary and loves reading! Willy Wonka is her first musical, and she is slowly coming out of her comfort zone. Adelaide is also on the power up team at church and helps to lead the kids worship services.
Angie (Violet Beauregard)
This is Angie’s debut performance at the Center Stage. However, New York audiences have seen her before in various productions, including her favorite role of Beast in Beauty and the Beast. She also enjoys gymnastics, which unfortunately has taken a backseat until her broken foot heals.
Ashleigh (Grandma Josephine/Mrs. Beauregard)
Ashleigh last appeared on stage as Mrs. Mayor in Seussical, Jr. and before that as a mermaid and fairy in Peter Pan, Jr. She loves singing, acting, and hanging out with her friends. Emery (Phineous Trout/Assistant Director)
Emery is joining Center Stage’s production for the fifth time. She previously has been the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical, Jr., Banzai in Disney’s The Lion King, Jr., Pinocchio in Shrek, Jr., and Sue the Fairy in Disney’s My Son Pinocchio, Jr. She will be joining cheerleading at her school after the production is over. She is represented by AMTC (Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ).
Emily (Oompa-Loompa/Camera Woman)
Willy Wonka is Emily’s first venture into the world of theatre. Emily is currently at 1st grader at Remington Elementary school. She enjoys singing, ballet and dancing and has a heart for serving others!
Emily (Veruca Salt)
Emily is honored to return for her third production with Center Stage. Her acting career began in Texas at the age of three when she attended a Musical Arts Preschool and performed in arrangements of The Nutcracker and Alice In Wonderland. Other Texas productions included Judy B. Jones and The Sound of Music. Since moving to the Springs in 2014, she has been in several productions including adaptations of Pinnochio, Frozen, Tarzan, The Lion King, Peter Pan, and most recently a lead in a production up at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre. Hunter (Mike Teavee)
Hunter is extremely excited to return for his fifth production with Center Stage. He debuted in Pinocchio, was cast as Lord Faquaad in Shrek before playing Scar in The Lion King and most recently played Mr. Mayor in Seussical. Other acting experience include the Fine Art Center’s recent summer production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Willy Wonka, Jr., a production with ACT as Kaa in The Jungle Book and he started his acting career with the Millibo Art Theater (MAT) where he performed in several shows including When I Was a Pirate, Where the Wild Things Are, The Gingerbread Man, and Boo in June. Jazz’Myn (Grandpa George/Oompa-Loompa)
Jazz’Myn “Minnie” is a bona fide “military brat,” who has lived in Alabama, California, Hawaii, Georgia, Virginia, and Colorado. Her effervescent personality is continually displayed whether she’s onstage, ice skating, singing in the choir, on flag team, at school, cheerleading, or having fun with friends! Having won awards for her positive character traits, Jazz’Myn overflows with confidence in every performance!
Jessica (Willy Wonka – select performances)
Jessica recently portrayed the infamous Cat in the Hat in last springs production of Seussical, Jr. and had previously played a fairy and mermaid in Center Stage’s production of Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr as well as appearing in other ACT shows. She likes volleyball, reading, and horseback riding, and is a self-proclaimed theater geek and book nerd. Her official website is www.springskids.us/jessica.
Kalyb (Augustus Gloop/James)
Kalyb is excited to make his debut with Pikes Peak Regional Center Stage as Augustus. He’s previously done acting and singing with his local church and has enjoyed learning and growing under Kay, his amazing Director. Kalyb spends his free time building legos, playing outside, hanging out with his family, and watching movies. He’s in the 4th grade at Edison Elementary School.
Kelby (Willy Wonka – select performances)
Kelby’s love of chocolate goes back many years. He loves to bake and since rehearsing for Willy Wonka has been dabbling in candy making in the kitchen. Kelby has performed with the Missoula Children’s Theater and in many renditions of the Christmas Nativity. Wonka is his first role with Center Stage. “Come along now. We have much see to more!”
Maddie (Mr. Salt)
Maddie debuted her acting chops as the little pig who built her house with sticks in pre-K. She will also be appearing as her school’s production of Dr. Doom & Mrs. Doom, as the latter of the titular characters. Her other extracurricular actiivity involves playing the trumpet in the school band. She also loves singing and dancing.
Miaja (Mr. Bucket/Oompa-Loompa)
This is Miaja’s first production with Center Stage and her first time performing in a play. Miaja has performed on stage in two talent shows showing off her skills in dance and believe it or not musical cup stacking. She loves to be on the stage. When she is not on stage you can find Miaja spending time with family, bowling, playing volleyball or working on her golf game.
Michael (Grandpa Joe)
Michael is ten, and a fifth grader at Woodmen Roberts Elementary. Michael began his acting experience at six years old with Pikes Peak Regional Stage under the direction of Kay McNeill. He was fortunate to land the role of (Flounder) in Little Mermaid Jr., his other perfromances include (Michael) in Peter Pan,(Professor Buorangazzo) in Pinocchio and Lord Farquaad in Shrek Jr. He recently starred as Michael Darling again in “Peter Pan” presented by Sunrise Players. He is excited to play the role of “Grandpa Joe” in Willy Wonka Jr. Michael ‘s other interests include art, football, and singing, guitar and swimming.
Misha (The Candy Man)
This is Misha’s second production with Center Stage; the first is portraying Sarabi/Sarafina in The Lion King. She took a Center Stage after school enrichment program in 2014, and she was hooked! Misha’s other interests include dancing hip hop, jazz, tap and ballet. She participates in the school choir and started played the trumpet last year in band. Misha also loves to fence, rock climb, paint and play football in the back yard.
Nika was last seen in the Fine Art Center’s theater camp’s productions of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Jr.. In her freetime, she enjoys math.
Sophia (Grandma Georgina)
Sophia is nine years old and attends Odyssey elementary. She loves to swimming, running, singing and animals of all kinds.
Taylor (Charlie Bucket)
Previously played Pumbaa in The Lion King, Pinocchio in Shrek and the Red Fairy in Pinocchio. She plays hockey with the Lightening & occassionally the Panthers. Her favorite subject in the school is math.

Kay has been a music/drama teacher for grades K-12 in Colorado Springs School District #11 since 1975. She owns her own training company, Education Resources, and has taught teachers nationwide for several universities, including Lesley U., Chapman U., the Univ. of Phoenix, Cal State U Hayward. She has staged many theatrical productions for both schools and local communities and has been cited in Who’s Who in American Education. Her creative energy is infectious.
