Although Addison has attended several drama classes, Seussical marks her first full production. She enjoys being outside and taking care of her two dogs and hedgehog.
Ashleigh (Mrs. Mayor)
Ashleigh was last seen on Center Stage’s production of Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr. as a fairy and mermaid.
Ashlyn (Bird Girl)
This is Ashlyn’s theatrical debut! She enjoys riding her bike, singing, gymnastics and playing Littlest Pet Shop.
Avery (Bird Girl | u/s Gertrude McFuzz)
Seussical is Avery’s first public theatrical appearance. In her spare time, she can be found reading and riding her bike.
Elijah last appeared in Center Stage’s production of Disney’s The Lion King, Jr. as Ed the hyena, where he debut his acting chops. He continues to swim with the Colorado Torpedoes and enjoys being a part of his school’s Destination Imagination team. In his spare time, Elijah enjoys reading, science experiments, and video games.
Emery (Sour Kangaroo)
Emery is joining Center Stage’s production for the fourth time. She previously has been Banzai in Disney’s The Lion King, Jr., Pinocchio in Shrek, Jr., and Sue the Fairy in Disney’s My Son Pinocchio, Jr. She sings in her school choir and looks forward in participating in cheer and gymnastics.
Esther (Wickersham | u/s Horton the Elephant)
Esther debuted during Center Stage’s last performance of Disney’s The Lion King, Jr. as Scar. She enjoys singing and performing.
Faith (Horton the Elephant)
Fayth is the vice-president of her school’s drama club, and Member of Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale. She last performed as Adult Simba is Center Stage’s Disney’s The Lion King, Jr. She plays bass for the Pikes Peak honors orchestra and also plays guitar, piano, and violin. Fayth enjoys singing, anything musical, and reading.
Gabby (Mayzie la Bird | Vlad Vladikoff )
Gabby was last seen on stage as a Teacher Fairy in Fairy Tales with Attitude. She also enjoys reading, sewing, and dancing.
Gabriella (Young Kangaroo)
This is Gabriella’s debut at Center Stage. She is a seasoned dancer and performer.
Hannah (Bird Girl | u/s The Cat in the Hat)
Although this is Hannah’s debut performance with Center Stage, she is a veteran performer, participating at her previous school’s choir and High Altitude Children Choir. She also swims competitively for the Colorado Torpedoes and loves reading, especially Harry Potter books.
Hunter (Mr. Mayor)
Hunter is extremely excited to return for his fourth production with Center Stage. He debuted in Pinocchio, last spring was cast as Lord Faquaad in Shrek, and most recently played Scar in The Lion King. Previous acting experience was with ACT as Kaa in The Jungle Book and he started his acting career with the Millibo Art Theater (MAT) where he performed in several shows including When I Was a Pirate, Where the Wild Things Are, The Gingerbread Man, and Boo in June. Although acting is his main passion, he also enjoys singing, reading, and soccer.
Jessica (The Cat in the Hat)
Jessica previously played a fairy and mermaid in Center Stage’s production of Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr and other ACT shows. She likes volleyball, reading, and horseback riding.
Karissa (Gertrude McFuzz)
This is Karissa’s second production with Center Stage; she last played Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King, Jr. She is 11 years old and in the 6th grade. Prior to this she was involved in several plays with Academy Children’s Theater (ACT) including: Wizard of Oz (Fairy Ballerina), Little Mermaid (Aqua The Fish), Jungle Book (Monkey), Toy Story (Jessie), Suessical The Musical (Cadet Sylvia McBean), The Lion King (Shenzi), Frozen (Sven), Mary Poppins (Mrs. Banks), Peter Pan (Smee), and Aladdin (Jasmine). At Chinook Trail Elementary, Karissa preformed as Granny in the Granny Awards. She keeps busy with a number of activities such as; soccer, basketball, guitar, and trombone. She has been a member of the Colorado Springs Children Chorale and selected to sing with the District 20 Honor Choir and the Colorado Elementary All-State Choir.
Kieran (Wickersham | u/s JoJo)
Seussical marks Kieran’s debut at Center Stage. Off stage, he reads, plays soccer, and enjoys riding his skateboard and jumping on his trampoline.
Lucy (Bird Girl | The Grinch | Yertle the Turtle)
This is Lucy’s theatrical debut! She is very active, participating in soccer, tennis, and basketball, and can be found riding her bike in her spare time.
Savanna (Mayzie la Bird | Vlad Vladikoff)
Sevanna is a spunky 9 year old that loves to be on stage. She has been a marionette in Pinocchio, Gingy and young Fiona in Shrek, Zazu in The Lion King, and with each show she comes more and more alive. She enjoys to be around horses, traveling to see Mimi and Pa, playing star stable, and watching Pretty Little Liars with her mom. She sings in the school choir and loves to do draw.
Taylor debuted as Rafiki in Center Stage’s last production of Disney’s The Lion King, Jr. She has also participated in All-Star Cheer and has sang in her school choir.
Director – Kay McNeill
Kay has been a music/drama teacher for grades K-12 in Colorado Springs School District #11 since 1975. She owns her own training company, Education Resources, and has taught teachers nationwide for several universities, including Lesley U., Chapman U., the Univ. of Phoenix, Cal State U Hayward. She has staged many theatrical productions for both schools and local communities and has been cited in Who’s Who in American Education. Her creative energy is infectious.
