Angie (Candy Hammernose/Maurice)
Angie returns to Center Stage after a successful run as Violet Bouregarde in Willy Wonka. She has also performed in several productions in New York, including her favorite role of Beast in Beauty and the Beast. She is also a veteran gymnast.
Ashlyn (King Julien XIII)
This is Ashlyn’s first play, ” welcome to me”! She loves to sing and perform and hopes that this is only the beginning. When not singing, she writes her own songs, poetry and stories. She has a unique perception of life and enjoys sharing it with others!
Elijah is returning to Center Stage after a brief hiatus. He was last seen in Seussical as JoJo and The Lion King as Ed. He also participated in the Children’s Chorale All Boys City Choir this past December. From swimming to Destination Imagination to working on his next science experiment, Eli is one busy kid off stage and looks forward to becoming a pediatric surgeon once he’s out of school. www.springskids.us/elijah
Emery (Marty/Mason | Assistant Director)
Emery’s illustrious Center Stage history includes Pinocchio (Sue), Shrek (Pinocchio), The Lion King (Banzai), Seussical (Sour Kangaroo) and most recently Willy Wonka (Phineous Trout). She is represented by AMTC (Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ). www.springskids.us/emery
Second time with Center Stage, debuting as Mrs. Gloop last fall in Willy Wonka. Second grader at Academy International. Loves animals and her family.
Gilly is making her debut with Pikes Peak Center Stage! Aside from acting, she is passionate about piano, basketball, dance, skiing and reading. Gilly has successfully honed her acting skills through attempts to evade, persuade and negotiate with her older brother. Her “15 minutes” came when she co-starred in an online music video for Lyrics2learn: https://youtu.be/qQJmKiahqzI. She is a third grader at Martinez Elementary.
Hannah is thrilled to return for the final time to Center Stage. Her last performance with this company was in Seussical as a Bird Girl. She has also played Puck in her elementary school’s production of Shakespeare’s A Mid Summer Night’s Dream. When not on stage, she is a competitive state swimmer and plays the flute in her school band. Hunter is extremely excited to return for his sixth production with Center Stage. He debuted in Pinocchio, was cast as Lord Faquaad in Shrek before playing Scar in The Lion King, Mr. Mayor in Seussical, and most recently Mike Teavee in Willy Wonka. Other acting experience include the Fine Art Center’s recent summer production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Willy Wonka, Jr., a production with ACT as Kaa in The Jungle Book and he started his acting career with the Millibo Art Theater (MAT) where he performed in several shows including When I Was a Pirate, Where the Wild Things Are, The Gingerbread Man, and Boo in June. This is Joey’s third play but first community play. In his free time, Joey likes to read, do science projects, and play outside. Joey is very excited and has been waiting for a long time for an opportunity like this come around.
Kaden (Alex/Foosa Leader)
Kaden is a 7th grader at Russell Middle School. He loves to sing and he is in the show choir and made honor choir this year. Kaden also loves drama and acting. This is his debut appearance with Center Stage.
This is Makayla’s fourth play. In her free time, she loves to sing, longboard, text, and play with her pets. She can’t wait to act in many more plays and get a lot of experience.
This is Mia’s first play, but probably not her last. She has been singing and performing at home since she could first walk and talk.
Miaja is back on stage after debuting as Mr. Bucket and an Oompa-Loompa in Willy Wonka. She recently won First Place in a District Speech competition and has performed on stage in two talent shows, showing off her skills in dance and, believe it or not, musical cup stacking. When she is not on stage, you can find Miaja spending time with her family, bowling, playing volleyball or working on her golf game.
Taylor was last seen as Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka, Pumbaa in The Lion King, Pinocchio in Shrek, and the Red Fairy in Pinocchio. She plays hockey with the Lightening and occasionally the Panthers. Her favorite subject in school is math.

Kay has been a music/drama teacher for grades K-12 in Colorado Springs School District #11 since 1975. She owns her own training company, Education Resources, and has taught teachers nationwide for several universities, including Lesley U., Chapman U., the Univ. of Phoenix, Cal State U Hayward. She has staged many theatrical productions for both schools and local communities and has been cited in Who’s Who in American Education. Her creative energy is infectious.
